Come along this Sunday at 14:00, starting at St John’s Church, to join Leytonstone Against Racism on Peter Ashan’s Freedom Walk!
Freedom Walk is a guided tour of Leytonstone that will explore the hidden histories of working-class people and people of colour from our community; their spirit of resistance against exploitation and their desire to build a better world.
Peter is a local author, educator and historian from Waltham Forest. He is passionate about recognising the contribution of people of colour who have significantly supported our local community over the years. Peter will also be selling his book and donations will contribute towards installing heritage plaques about People of Colour in Waltham Forest
Please note that the walk will start at 2pm outside St John’s Church, E11, and will end at Good Shepherd Studios, E11, with a talk, Q&As and refreshments.
