Myths, Maps & Monsters: Dionysus' Drama Club

Are you a creative young person, who likes acting, performing and making up stories? Here’s a Saturday drama club just for you!
Give rousing speeches to raise armies like the King of Sparta, cast wicked spells on your enemies like Hades, or write heartfelt poems and songs like the musical genius, Odysseus.
Aimed at 6-12 year olds.
Restorative Yoga with Celtic Story Telling
Join Jessica and special guest Kim Willis for a Sunday rest session to celebrate the return of spring.
Listen to folklore and myths told by Kim as you experience easy poses and soft breaths in this supportive practice of deep rest. Make time to allow your body to move in a gentle and therapeutic way to reset, recover and focus on the experience within.
Suitable for almost every-body, ability and brain.

Make It Do It - Easter Art Camp
Join inspirational artist led workshop Make It Do It in a 4 day Easter Art Camp looking at the art of the Young British Artists.
The workshops will explore techniques like marbling, collage, drawing and painting alongside clay and textile elements, all inspired by artists such as Chris Ofili, Rachel Whiteread, Jenny Saville, and Marc Quinn.
The camp is suitable for children aged 5 to 10 years, and the day will run from 9.30am until 3.30pm with plenty of time for play and socialising among our engaging creative programme.

Join our good friends the Film High Club (Maghreb Ciné's world cinema strand) for a screening of the Sudanese feature, Talking About Trees (with an intro).
Filmmakers Ibrahim, Suliman, Eltayeb and Manar, close friends for many years, left their motherland in the sixties and seventies to study film abroad and founded the Sudanese Film Group in 1989. After years of distance and exile, they are reunited, hoping to finally make their old dream come true: to bring back cinema to Sudan by reopening the Halfaia Cinema, a dilapidated cinema in Khartoum (-Letterboxd).
The screening will be introduced by an invited speaker and a post-screening discussion will follow the film.
Doors open 5.15pm, feature starts 6pm.

Introduction to Nature friendly garden design
Learn the basics of garden design and how to create a beautiful space that supports nature.
In the morning, we will cover design principles, garden styles, planting and hard landscaping. In the afternoon, there will be a chance to try out the new techniques and develop a design for your own space.
The course works best if you have a space in mind that you want to work on, but it's not a prerequisite. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to have a go.
All materials are provided and you will leave with a goody bag to help you to continue your design journey at home.

Monthly life drawing class suited to all abilities and although untutored, advice and direction is freely given on request. Materials included.

Nearest stations: Leytonstone High Road (Overground) and Leytonstone (Central line)
Nearest bus stops: Leytonstone High Road station Stop J and Stop F (257 and W13).
Parking: There is no parking onsite but restricted street parking is available nearby.
Please check the Waltham Forest Council website and street signs for up-to-date restrictions.
Vehicle restrictions at time of writing:
Controlled Parking Zone: LSE, Permit holders only, Mon-Fri, 10am – 2pm
School Street (Davies Lane east of the junction with Pastures Path): No travel into the zone during term time between 8.30am and 9.15am and 3.00pm and 3.45pm.
Accessibility
There is no lift in the building. There is, however, step-free access available to the ground floor (including toilets).
The Auditorium is located on the 1st floor and only accessible via steps.
The Annex is located on the ground floor and there is step-free access to this space.
